THE PROBLEM
THE PROBLEM
IPSEN needed to improve the presentation skills of the team chosen to communicate a new strategy, one that was vital for shaping future direction and budget allocation across the whole organisation.
It needed these highly technically skilled senior managers to deliver the clear and engaging communication needed to inspire and support the change vital to engaging stakeholders at all levels within the business.
THE SOLUTION
As in theatre, there is a stage, a performer, a rehearsed message and a live audience. A live audience where passion, conviction and excitement are critical if the message is going to resonate and stick.
To ensure the senior managers had the presentation skills to deliver the vision, our programme delivered two key components:
THE TOOLKITS: The Perfect Presenter
Two 180-minute virtual sessions revealed the secret skills used by the greatest theatre actors to help these senior managers deliver knockout presentations that maximise engagement, are memorable and deliver results.
THE STUDIO: The Rehearsal Lab
A half day, in-person rehearsal tailored to the individual needs of each senior manager to ensure they could successfully deliver their vision in front of a live audience. This intense “deeper dive” session allowed participants to practise their new behaviours in a variety of challenging presentation exercises and receive individual and group coaching and feedback to fine-tune their presentation impact.
THE IMPACT
Participants learnt how to

- Vary the pitch, tone and pace of the presentation to deliver a compelling and
memorable message with passion - Push the power of their voice to make people sit up, listen and take the message seriously
- Adjust their performance and energy according to the dynamic of the audience
